CVE-2025-11981, 14 Nov 2025
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'SCodes' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.23 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. CVE record
CVE-2025-1667, 15 Mar 2025
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation due to a missing capability check on the wpsp_UpdateTeacher() function in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.16. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with teacher-level access and above, to update arbitrary user details including email which makes it possible to request a password reset and access arbitrary user accounts, including administrators. CVE record
CVE-2025-1668, 15 Mar 2025
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary user deletion due to a missing capability check on the wpsp_DeleteUser() function in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.16. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with teacher-level access and above, to delete arbitrary user accounts. CVE record
CVE-2025-1669, 15 Mar 2025
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'addNotify' action in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.17 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with teacher-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. CVE record
CVE-2025-1670, 15 Mar 2025
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'cid' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.16 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Custom-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. CVE record
CVE-2024-12332, 7 Jan 2025
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'cid' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.14 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Student/Parent-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. CVE record
CVE-2024-9637, 26 Oct 2024
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation via account takeover in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.10. This is due to the plugin not properly validating a user's identity prior to updating their details like email. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with teacher-level access and above, to change arbitrary user's email addresses, including administrators, and leverage that to reset the user's password and gain access to their account. CVE record
CVE-2023-4776, 16 Oct 2023
The School Management System WordPress plugin before 2.2.5 uses the WordPress esc_sql() function on a field not delimited by quotes and did not first prepare the query, leading to a SQL injection exploitable by relatively low-privilege users like Teachers. CVE record
CVE-2021-24575, 8 Nov 2021
The School Management System - WPSchoolPress WordPress plugin before 2.1.10 does not properly sanitize or use prepared statements before using POST variable in SQL queries, leading to SQL injection in multiple actions available to various authenticated users, from simple subscribers/students to teachers and above. CVE record
CVE-2021-24664, 8 Nov 2021

What to do if you run School Management System

If you run School Management System, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
