Personal data we use and why
If you contact us, we use the details and message you provide so we can respond and, where relevant, discuss or provide a requested service. Depending on the circumstances, the lawful basis will normally be taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, or our legitimate interests in handling business communications.
If you buy a plan or one-off service, payment is handled through Stripe payment links. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy terms. We may receive transaction and billing information made available to us so we can record the purchase, provide the service and keep required business records.
Our free checker tools process the website URL you submit because the tool must fetch that address to carry out the requested check. A submitted URL can itself contain personal information, so do not submit private, password-reset, account or administration URLs. Our contact-form emails are sent using Brevo.
Sharing, international processing and retention
We use service providers where they are needed to operate the website or deliver a service, including Stripe for payments and Brevo for contact-form email delivery. We do not use advertising trackers. We do not sell personal data.
Stripe and Brevo publish their own information about where and how they process personal data. If a supplier transfers personal data outside the UK, any transfer that falls within UK data protection rules must use an appropriate lawful safeguard.
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting, tax, dispute or security requirement that applies. UK companies can be required to retain tax and accounting records for several years, so transaction records may need to be kept after the service itself has ended.
