CVE-2026-5721, 20 Apr 2026
The wpDataTables - WordPress Data Table, Dynamic Tables & Table Charts Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in all versions up to, and including, 6.5.0.4. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the prepareCellOutput() method of the LinkWDTColumn, ImageWDTColumn, and EmailWDTColumn classes. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, given that they can trick an Administrator into importing data from an attacker-controlled source and the affected column types (Link, Image, or Email) are configured. CVE record
CVE-2024-3820, 1 Jun 2024
The wpDataTables - WordPress Data Table, Dynamic Tables & Table Charts Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'id_key' parameter of the wdt_delete_table_row AJAX action in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.1 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Please note this only affects the premium version of the plugin. CVE record
CVE-2024-3821, 1 Jun 2024
The wpDataTables - WordPress Data Table, Dynamic Tables & Table Charts Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access due to a missing capability check on several functions in the wdt_ajax_actions.php file in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.2. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to manipulate data tables. Please note this only affects the premium version of the plugin. CVE record
CVE-2024-4895, 23 May 2024
The wpDataTables - WordPress Data Table, Dynamic Tables & Table Charts Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the CSV import functionality in all versions up to, and including, 3.4.2.12 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2024-0591, 13 Mar 2024
The wpDataTables - WordPress Data Table, Dynamic Tables & Table Charts Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'A' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.4.2.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. CVE record
CVE-2023-4314, 11 Sep 2023
The wpDataTables WordPress plugin before 2.1.66 does not validate the "Serialized PHP array" input data before deserializing the data. This allows admins to deserialize arbitrary data which may lead to remote code execution if a suitable gadget chain is present on the server. This is impactful in environments where admin users should not be allowed to execute arbitrary code, such as multisite. CVE record
CVE-2022-29432, 20 May 2022
Multiple Authenticated (administrator or higher user role) Persistent Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in TMS-Plugins wpDataTables plugin <= 2.1.27 on WordPress via &data-link-text, &data-link-url, &data, &data-shortcode, &data-star-num vulnerable parameters. CVE record
CVE-2021-24200, 12 Apr 2021
The wpDataTables - Tables & Table Charts premium WordPress plugin before 3.4.2 allows a low privilege authenticated user to perform Boolean-based blind SQL Injection in the table list page on the endpoint /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=get_wdtable&table_id=1, on the 'length' HTTP POST parameter. This allows an attacker to access all the data in the database and obtain access to the WordPress application. CVE record
CVE-2021-24197, 12 Apr 2021
The wpDataTables - Tables & Table Charts premium WordPress plugin before 3.4.2 has Improper Access Control. A low privilege authenticated user that visits the page where the table is published can tamper the parameters to access the data of another user that are present in the same table by taking over the user permissions on the table through formdata[wdt_ID] parameter. By exploiting this issue an attacker is able to access and manage the data of all users in the same table. CVE record
CVE-2021-24198, 12 Apr 2021
The wpDataTables - Tables & Table Charts premium WordPress plugin before 3.4.2 has Improper Access Control. A low privilege authenticated user that visits the page where the table is published can tamper the parameters to delete the data of another user that are present in the same table through id_key and id_val parameters. By exploiting this issue an attacker is able to delete the data of all users in the same table. CVE record
CVE-2021-24199, 12 Apr 2021
The wpDataTables - Tables & Table Charts premium WordPress plugin before 3.4.2 allows a low privilege authenticated user to perform Boolean-based blind SQL Injection in the table list page on the endpoint /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=get_wdtable&table_id=1, on the 'start' HTTP POST parameter. This allows an attacker to access all the data in the database and obtain access to the WordPress application. CVE record
CVE-2014-9175, 2 Dec 2014
SQL injection vulnerability in wpdatatables.php in the wpDataTables plugin 1.5.3 and earlier for WordPress allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the table_id parameter in a get_wdtable action to wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. CVE record

What to do if you run wpDataTables

If you run wpDataTables, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
