- CVE-2026-97276, 4 Oct 2026
- Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in VeronaLabs WP Statistics wp-statistics allows Reflected XSS.This issue affects WP Statistics: from n/a through 14.16.14. CVE record
- CVE-2026-97652, 2 Oct 2026
- The WP Statistics - Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via REQUEST_URI Query-Parameter Key in all versions up to, and including, 14.16.14 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. CVE record
- CVE-2026-15780, 19 Aug 2026
- The WP Statistics - Simple, privacy-friendly Google Analytics alternative plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'utm_campaign' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 14.16.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The payload can be planted without authentication via the public /wp-statistics/v2/hit REST endpoint, because the required signature is exposed on the public homepage and a base64-encoded page_uri POST parameter overrides the previously sanitized REQUEST_URI, allowing the malicious utm_campaign value to bypass sanitization and be stored in the database. CVE record
- CVE-2026-16562, 8 Aug 2026
- The WP Statistics WordPress plugin before 14.16.10 does not perform a capability check on a set of dashboard analytics AJAX handlers, relying only on a nonce that every authenticated user holds, allowing users with Subscriber-level access and above to disclose the site's visitor analytics data. CVE record
- CVE-2026-5231, 17 Apr 2026
- The WP Statistics plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'utm_source' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 14.16.4. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. The plugin's referral parser copies the raw utm_source value into the source_name field when a wildcard channel domain matches, and the chart renderer later inserts this value into legend markup via innerHTML without escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in admin pages that will execute whenever an administrator accesses the Referrals Overview or Social Media analytics pages. CVE record
- CVE-2026-3488, 17 Apr 2026
- The WP Statistics plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 14.16.4. This is due to missing capability checks on multiple AJAX handlers including `wp_statistics_get_filters`, `wp_statistics_getPrivacyStatus`, `wp_statistics_updatePrivacyStatus`, and `wp_statistics_dismiss_notices`. These endpoints only verify a `wp_rest` nonce via `check_ajax_referer()` but do not enforce any capability checks such as `current_user_can()` or the plugin's own `User::Access()` method. Since the `wp_rest` nonce is available to all authenticated WordPress users, this makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to access sensitive analytics data (user IDs, usernames, emails, visitor tracking data), retrieve and modify privacy audit compliance status, and dismiss administrative notices. CVE record
- CVE-2025-9816, 27 Sep 2025
- The WP Statistics - The Most Popular Privacy-Friendly Analytics Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the User-Agent Header in all versions up to, and including, 14.5.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
- CVE-2025-3953, 30 Apr 2025
- The WP Statistics - The Most Popular Privacy-Friendly Analytics Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the 'optionUpdater' function in all versions up to, and including, 14.13.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to update arbitrary plugin settings. CVE record
- CVE-2024-2194, 13 Mar 2024
- The WP Statistics plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the URL search parameter in all versions up to, and including, 14.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record

- CVE-2021-4333, 7 Mar 2023
- The WP Statistics plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in versions up to, and including, 13.1.1. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the view() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to activate and deactivate arbitrary plugins, via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. CVE record

What to do if you run WP Statistics
If you run WP Statistics, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
