CVE-2026-15233, 4 Aug 2026
The Nested Pages WordPress plugin before 3.2.15 does not properly escape post titles before outputting them into HTML attributes on an administrative listing screen, allowing users with the Editor role (or Contributor/Author when the Nested Pages WordPress plugin before 3.2.15 is enabled for the post type) to inject arbitrary JavaScript that executes in the session of any higher-privileged user who views that screen. CVE record
CVE-2024-8759, 15 May 2025
The Nested Pages WordPress plugin before 3.2.9 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup). CVE record
CVE-2025-0718, 23 Mar 2025
The Nested Pages WordPress plugin before 3.2.13 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as contributors to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup). CVE record
CVE-2024-5943, 4 Jul 2024
The Nested Pages plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 3.2.7. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the 'settingsPage' function and missing santization of the 'tab' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to call local php files via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. CVE record
CVE-2023-2434, 31 May 2023
The Nested Pages plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized loss of data due to a missing capability check on the 'reset' function in versions up to, and including, 3.2.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with editor-level permissions and above, to reset plugin settings. CVE record
CVE-2022-1990, 27 Jun 2022
The Nested Pages WordPress plugin before 3.1.21 does not escape and sanitize the some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks when the unfiltered_html is disallowed CVE record
CVE-2021-38342, 30 Aug 2021
The Nested Pages WordPress plugin <= 3.1.15 was vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery via the `npBulkAction`s and `npBulkEdit` `admin_post` actions, which allowed attackers to trash or permanently purge arbitrary posts as well as changing their status, reassigning their ownership, and editing other metadata. CVE record
CVE-2021-38343, 30 Aug 2021
The Nested Pages WordPress plugin <= 3.1.15 was vulnerable to an Open Redirect via the `page` POST parameter in the `npBulkActions`, `npBulkEdit`, `npListingSort`, and `npCategoryFilter` `admin_post` actions. CVE record

What to do if you run Nested Pages

If you run Nested Pages, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
