CVE-2026-17553, 9 Sep 2026
The WP EasyCart plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to privilege escalation in versions up to, and including, 5.9.3. This is due to the ec_ajax_save_page_default_options() AJAX handler iterating over every $_POST key and passing it directly into update_option() without any allowlist, while gating the handler only on 'manage_options' OR the plugin's custom 'wpec_manager' capability. The plugin's built-in 'wpec_store_manager' role holds 'wpec_manager' but not 'manage_options', and the required nonce is emitted on frontend product/category templates that render for any user with 'wpec_manager'. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Store Manager-level access and above, to elevate their privileges to administrator by updating arbitrary WordPress options such as default_role='administrator' and users_can_register='1', then self-registering a new account that is assigned the administrator role. CVE record
CVE-2026-17589, 1 Sep 2026
The Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via the 'product_order' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.9.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This is a second-order SQL injection: the payload is written to the ec_pageoption table via the ec_ajax_save_page_options handler - which applies no sanitization to raw $_POST values - and is later retrieved with stripslashes() (bypassing WordPress magic-quotes protection) before being concatenated directly into SQL on every store page render. CVE record
CVE-2024-12712, 8 Jan 2025
The Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the webhook function in all versions up to, and including, 5.7.8. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify order statuses. CVE record
CVE-2024-7827, 20 Aug 2024
The Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to boolean-based SQL Injection via the ‘model_number’ parameter in all versions up to, and including, 5.7.2 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. CVE record
CVE-2024-4213, 14 May 2024
The Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 5.6.4 via the order report functionality. CVE-2024-3211, 12 Apr 2024
The Shopping Cart & eCommerce Store plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the 'productid' attribute of the ec_addtocart shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 5.6.3 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. CVE record
CVE-2023-3023, 12 Jul 2023
The WP EasyCart plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to time-based SQL Injection via the ‘orderby’ parameter in versions up to, and including, 5.4.10 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level or above permissions, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database.
