CVE-2026-19945, 9 Sep 2026
The WP Crowdfunding plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'first_name' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. An administrator viewing any user's profile via the ?show_user_id= parameter will render the attacker's stored payload in the admin's browser session, enabling cross-privilege script execution. CVE record
CVE-2026-19944, 9 Sep 2026
The WP Crowdfunding plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via 'wpneo_reward' Post Meta in all versions up to, and including, 2.2.1 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with shop manager-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. This is a second-order injection: a Shop Manager writes the malicious payload once via the WooCommerce REST products endpoint (POST/PUT /wp-json/wc/v3/products/{id}), and the injected query executes on every subsequent public page view that renders the campaign rewards sidebar. CVE record
CVE-2026-14858, 12 Aug 2026
The WP Crowdfunding WordPress plugin before 2.2.1 does not verify order ownership before returning order details, allowing any authenticated users such as Subscribers to read the personal data of any WooCommerce order and enumerate every order in the store. CVE record
CVE-2026-14859, 12 Aug 2026
The WP Crowdfunding WordPress plugin before 2.2.1 does not check the campaign-submission capability in one of its AJAX actions, allowing any authenticated users such as Subscribers to create crowdfunding campaign posts despite not being granted that permission. CVE record
CVE-2026-14857, 12 Aug 2026
The WP Crowdfunding WordPress plugin before 2.2.1 does not verify ownership of a campaign before allowing its update history to be modified and a notification email sent to its backers, allowing any authenticated users such as Subscribers to alter other users' campaigns. CVE record
CVE-2025-1508, 12 Mar 2025
The WP Crowdfunding plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the download_data action in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.14. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to download all of a site's post content when WooCommerce is installed. CVE record
CVE-2024-11911, 13 Dec 2024
The WP Crowdfunding plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized plugin installation due to a missing capability check on the install_woocommerce_plugin() function action in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.12. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to install WooCommerce. This has a limited impact on most sites because WooCommerce is a requirement. CVE record
CVE-2024-11910, 13 Dec 2024
The WP Crowdfunding plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the wp-crowdfunding/search block in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.15 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2024-10117, 26 Oct 2024
The WP Crowdfunding plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's wpcf_donate shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 2.1.11 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2023-6163, 15 Jan 2024
The WP Crowdfunding WordPress plugin before 2.1.10 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup) CVE record
CVE-2023-6161, 8 Jan 2024
The WP Crowdfunding WordPress plugin before 2.1.9 does not sanitise and escape a parameter before outputting it back in the page, leading to a Reflected Cross-Site Scripting which could be used against high privilege users such as admin CVE record
CVE-2023-5757, 11 Dec 2023
The WP Crowdfunding WordPress plugin before 2.1.8 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup) CVE record

What to do if you run WP Crowdfunding

If you run WP Crowdfunding, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
