CVE-2026-12906, 16 Jul 2026
The RTMKit WordPress plugin before 2.0.9 does not perform a capability check in one of its AJAX actions and resolves a request-supplied post identifier directly, allowing users with at least the Contributor role to read the titles of other users' private, draft, pending, scheduled and trashed posts. CVE record
CVE-2026-12907, 16 Jul 2026
The RTMKit WordPress plugin before 2.0.9 does not perform a proper capability check on one of its -builder AJAX actions, allowing users with at least the Author role to create and activate a site-wide template that overrides the header, footer or other global areas displayed to all visitors, which is normally restricted to administrators. CVE record
CVE-2026-5137, 3 Jul 2026
The RTMKit (rometheme-for-elementor) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in versions up to, and including, 2.0.7 This is due to insufficient path validation on the 'template' parameter in the render_templates AJAX endpoint, which is used directly in a require/include statement without sanitization. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to include and execute files on the server ending in _templates.php, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. CVE record
CVE-2026-8351, 3 Jul 2026
The RTMKit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Advanced Heading widget's 'Background Text' parameter in versions up to, and including, 2.0.7 This is due to insufficient output escaping on the 'background_text_heading' setting in the render() function, which concatenates the value directly into an HTML attribute without applying esc_attr(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2026-5149, 16 Jun 2026
The RTMKit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Incorrect Authorization in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.7 This is due to the get_submission_content AJAX endpoint lacking a capability check to verify that a user has permission to access the requested form submission data. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to view arbitrary form submissions from other users by iterating the entries_id parameter. CVE record
CVE-2026-3425, 13 May 2026
The RTMKit Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.2 via the 'path' parameter of the 'get_content' AJAX action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to include and execute arbitrary PHP files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where PHP files can be uploaded and included. CVE record
CVE-2026-3426, 13 May 2026
The RTMKit Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to missing capability checks on the save_widget() and reset_all_widgets() functions in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.2. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to modify or reset site-wide widget configurations. CVE record
CVE-2025-12473, 11 Mar 2026
The RTMKit plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'themebuilder' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. CVE record
CVE-2025-8609, 18 Nov 2025
The RTMKit Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's Accordion Block's attributes in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2024-10326, 8 Mar 2025
The RomethemeKit For Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the save_options and reset_widgets functions in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to modify plugin settings or reset plugin widgets to their default state (all enabled). NOTE: This vulnerability was partially fixed in version 1.5.3. CVE record
CVE-2024-10324, 24 Jan 2025
The RomethemeKit For Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.2 via the register_controls function in widgets/offcanvas-rometheme.php. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to extract sensitive private, pending, and draft template data. CVE record

What to do if you run RTMKit

If you run RTMKit, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
