- The Query Monitor - The developer tools panel for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']’ parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.20.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. What to do if you run Query Monitor
If you run Query Monitor, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
