- CVE-2026-75966, 9 Sep 2026
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'episode_contributor[..][..][comment]' Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.5.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The contributor comment is stored in a plugin-managed custom table, bypassing WordPress core's wp_kses_post filter, and the save_post hook fires without a nonce check, meaning any user who can edit posts can exploit this without further preconditions. CVE record
- CVE-2026-16099, 16 Aug 2026
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the create_link_item function in all versions up to, and including, 4.5.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). A viable POP chain exists within the plugin itself via Podlove\ImageCache\GenerationGuard, whose __destruct() method invokes wp_delete_file() with an attacker-controlled file path populated through unserialization. CVE record
- CVE-2026-13729, 1 Aug 2026
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher WordPress plugin before 4.5.3 does not perform nonce validation on some of its administrative create and delete actions, allowing attackers to create rogue records or delete legitimate ones via a forged request (CSRF) when a logged-in administrator is tricked into visiting a crafted page. CVE record
- CVE-2026-13001, 14 Jul 2026
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the 'podlove_handle_cache_files' function in all versions up to, and including, 4.5.1. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible. CVE record
- CVE-2025-10147, 23 Sep 2025
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to missing file type validation in the 'move_as_original_file' function in all versions up to, and including, 4.2.6. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible. CVE record
- CVE-2024-13730, 15 May 2025
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher WordPress plugin before 4.2.1 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup). CVE record
- CVE-2024-13729, 15 May 2025
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher WordPress plugin before 4.1.24 does not sanitise and escape some of its settings, which could allow high privilege users such as admin to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks even when the unfiltered_html capability is disallowed (for example in multisite setup). CVE record
- CVE-2025-1383, 6 Mar 2025
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery in all versions up to, and including, 4.2.2. This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the ajax_transcript_delete() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to delete arbitrary episode transcripts via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. CVE record
- CVE-2025-0554, 18 Jan 2025
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Feed Name value in version <= 4.1.25 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled. CVE record
- CVE-2024-1110, 7 Feb 2024
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to a missing capability check on the init() function in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.11. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to import the plugin's settings. CVE record
- CVE-2024-1109, 7 Feb 2024
- The Podlove Podcast Publisher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the init_download() and init() functions in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.11. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to export the plugin's tracking data and podcast information. CVE record

What to do if you run Podlove Podcast Publisher
If you run Podlove Podcast Publisher, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
