- CVE-2026-77693, 26 Aug 2026
- The Order Tip for WooCommerce WordPress plugin before 1.6.0 does not check the capability of the user requesting a file deletion, nor does it restrict which path may be deleted, allowing users with the Shop Manager role and above to delete arbitrary files on the server, which could lead to the site being taken over. CVE record
- CVE-2025-6025, 15 Aug 2025
- The Order Tip for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Unauthenticated Improper Input Validation in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.4. This is due to lack of server-side validation on the `data-tip` attribute, which makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to apply an excessive or even negative tip amount, resulting in unauthorized discount up to free orders depending on the value submitted. CVE record
- CVE-2024-1119, 20 Mar 2024
- The Order Tip for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the export_tips_to_csv() function in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.1. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to export the plugin's order fees. CVE record
What to do if you run Order Tip for WooCommerce
If you run Order Tip for WooCommerce, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
