- The ND Shortcodes plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's upload feature in all versions up to, and including, 7.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. What to do if you run ND Shortcodes
If you run ND Shortcodes, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
