CVE-2026-39720, 6 Oct 2026
Unauthenticated Cross Site Scripting (XSS) in Mapster WP Maps <= 2.0.4 versions. CVE record
CVE-2026-12954, 18 Sep 2026
The Mapster WP Maps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary User Meta Write in all versions up to, and including, 1.23.0 via the `my_profile_update()` function. This is due to the function performing no nonce verification, no capability check, and no allowlist validation on the meta key supplied via the `acf-photo-gallery-groups` POST parameter before passing both the meta key and its corresponding value directly to `update_user_meta()`. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to update arbitrary user meta values, though privilege escalation is not possible. CVE record
CVE-2026-14839, 1 Aug 2026
The Mapster WP Maps WordPress plugin before 1.24.0 does not perform any authorization or post-status check on a public REST endpoint, allowing unauthenticated users to retrieve the title and full content of any post regardless of its status, including unpublished (draft, pending, private, and trashed) posts. CVE record
CVE-2025-9044, 26 Sep 2025
The Mapster WP Maps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via multiple fields in versions up to, and including, 1.20.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level permissions and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2024-10592, 16 Nov 2024
The Mapster WP Maps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the popup class parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.6.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2024-9235, 25 Oct 2024
The Mapster WP Maps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data that can lead to privilege escalation due to an insufficient capability check on the mapster_wp_maps_set_option_from_js() function in all versions up to, and including, 1.5.0. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to update arbitrary options on the WordPress site. This can be leveraged to update the default role for registration to administrator and enable user registration for attackers to gain administrative user access to a vulnerable site. CVE record

What to do if you run Mapster WP Maps

If you run Mapster WP Maps, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
