CVE-2026-88782, 3 Oct 2026
The Kubio AI Page Builder WordPress plugin before 2.9.3 does not validate the URI scheme of a user-supplied value before outputting it as a link target, allowing users with the contributor role and above to store a payload which executes in the browser of anyone who follows the link, including an administrator previewing the unpublished submission. CVE record
CVE-2026-88783, 3 Oct 2026
The Kubio AI Page Builder WordPress plugin before 2.9.3 does not limit its widening of the allowed HTML elements to the editor context, so the wider set is applied when filtering content submitted by unauthenticated users as well, allowing them to store markup which the Kubio AI Page Builder WordPress plugin before 2.9.3's own script later executes in the browser of any visitor, or of an administrator reviewing the still-unapproved submission. CVE record
CVE-2026-100107, 2 Oct 2026
The Kubio AI Page Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'comment' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.9.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
CVE-2026-14472, 18 Sep 2026
The Kubio AI Page Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via kubio/copyright Block Content in all versions up to, and including, 2.8.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This bypasses both the WordPress core kses-on-save filter and the plugin's own wp_kses_post() call, because entity-encoded script tags are treated as inert text by kses but are decoded into live HTML by the subsequent html_entity_decode() call in CopyrightBlock::render_template(). CVE record
CVE-2026-16779, 16 Aug 2026
The Kubio AI Page Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 2.8.5. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to overwrite front-page configuration options (show_on_front, page_on_front, and page_for_posts), rewrite primary navigation menu items, replace template parts, and overwrite the Kubio global-data post. Although a nonce check via check_ajax_referer() is present, the nonce is unconditionally emitted into window.kubioUtilsData for every user who can load the block editor, making it harvestable by any Contributor and therefore an ineffective authorization barrier. CVE record
CVE-2026-5427, 17 Apr 2026
The Kubio plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in versions up to and including 2.7.2. This is due to insufficient capability checks in the kubio_rest_pre_insert_import_assets() function, which is hooked to the rest_pre_insert_{post_type} filter for posts, pages, templates, and template parts. When a post is created or updated via the REST API, Kubio parses block attributes looking for URLs in the 'kubio' attribute namespace and automatically imports them via importRemoteFile() without verifying the user has the upload_files capability. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to bypass WordPress's normal media upload restrictions and upload files fetched from external URLs to the media library, creating attachment posts in the database. CVE record
CVE-2025-8487, 19 Sep 2025
The Kubio AI Page Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized plugin installation due to a missing capability check on the kubio-image-hub-install-plugin AJAX action in all versions up to, and including, 2.6.3. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to install the Image Hub plugin. CVE record
CVE-2025-2294, 28 Mar 2025
The Kubio AI Page Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Local File Inclusion in all versions up to, and including, 2.5.1 via thekubio_hybrid_theme_load_template function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to include and execute arbitrary files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where images and other “safe” file types can be uploaded and included. CVE record
CVE-2024-13516, 18 Jan 2025
The Kubio AI Page Builder plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'message' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.3.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. What to do if you run Kubio AI Page Builder

If you run Kubio AI Page Builder, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.

If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
