- CVE-2026-15758, 15 Sep 2026
- The 3D FlipBook - PDF Embedder, PDF Flipbook Viewer, Flipbook Image Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure in all versions up to, and including, 1.16.20 via the 'id' parameter. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to extract sensitive data including the full metadata payload of password-protected flipbooks - including title, outline, props, and the serialized data blob containing the underlying PDF file's direct URL - bypassing WordPress post-password confidentiality. Flipbook post IDs can be pre-enumerated via the also-unauthenticated fb3d_send_posts AJAX action, requiring no prior knowledge to target specific flipbooks. CVE record
- CVE-2026-1314, 15 Apr 2026
- The 3D FlipBook - PDF Embedder, PDF Flipbook Viewer, Flipbook Image Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the send_post_pages_json() function in all versions up to, and including, 1.16.17. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to retrieve flipbook page metadata for draft, private and password-protected flipbooks. CVE record
- CVE-2025-5289, 21 Jun 2025
- The 3D FlipBook - PDF Embedder, PDF Flipbook Viewer, Flipbook Image Gallery plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘style’ and 'mode' parameters in all versions up to, and including, 1.16.15 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Note: This issue affects only block-based themes. CVE record
- CVE-2024-3883, 2 May 2024
- The 3D FlipBook plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Bookmark URL field in all versions up to, and including, 1.15.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
- CVE-2023-6776, 11 Jan 2024
- The 3D FlipBook plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the ‘Ready Function’ field in all versions up to, and including, 1.15.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. CVE record
- CVE-2022-4453, 16 Jan 2023
- The 3D FlipBook WordPress plugin through 1.13.2 does not validate or escape some of its shortcode attributes before outputting them back in the page, which could allow users with a role as low as Contributor to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks against high privilege users like administrators. CVE record
- CVE-2022-0423, 21 Mar 2022
- The 3D FlipBook WordPress plugin before 1.12.1 does not have authorisation and CSRF checks when updating its settings, and does not have any sanitisation/escaping, allowing any authenticated users, such as subscriber to put Cross-Site Scripting payloads in all pages with a 3d flipbook. CVE record
What to do if you run 3D FlipBook
If you run 3D FlipBook, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
