- CVE-2026-92727, 3 Oct 2026
- The EmbedPress - PDF Embedder, 3D PDF FlipBook, Google Reviews, YouTube Videos, Upload & Embed PDF documents plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'slidesShow' Block Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The slidesShow block attribute is interpolated into an unquoted data-carousel-options HTML attribute, allowing a payload containing spaces to break out of the attribute and inject additional DOM attributes such as onfocus event handlers onto the wrapper element. CVE record
- CVE-2026-85001, 30 Sep 2026
- The EmbedPress WordPress plugin before 4.6.7 does not sanitise and escape one of its Elementor widget settings before outputting it into an HTML attribute, which could allow users with the Contributor role or above to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when the affected content is viewed. CVE record
- CVE-2026-85002, 27 Sep 2026
- The EmbedPress WordPress plugin before 4.6.7 does not escape one of its block attributes before outputting it inside an HTML attribute, which could allow users with the contributor role and above to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks against higher privileged users viewing the post. CVE record
- CVE-2026-89330, 18 Sep 2026
- The EmbedPress - PDF Embedder, 3D PDF FlipBook, Google Reviews, YouTube Videos, Upload & Embed PDF documents plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'unique' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This is a regression: the esc_url() wrapper that remediated the equivalent CVE-2023-5749 in version 3.9.2 was removed in version 4.3.0 during a refactor that introduced the 'unique' parameter. CVE record
- CVE-2026-84926, 5 Sep 2026
- The EmbedPress WordPress plugin before 4.6.4 does not correctly restrict access to one of its Google Reviews REST routes to administrators, allowing any authenticated user with contributor-level access or above to read the site administrator's email address, a value WordPress core withholds from that role. CVE record
- CVE-2026-84927, 5 Sep 2026
- The EmbedPress WordPress plugin before 4.6.4 does not perform a sufficient authorization check on one of its Google Reviews REST API routes, allowing users with the Contributor role and above to modify a site-wide store, deleting entries an administrator configured and injecting their own, which are rendered publicly across the site. CVE record
- CVE-2026-84936, 5 Sep 2026
- The EmbedPress WordPress plugin before 4.6.4 does not have proper authorization on a public review-loading action, allowing unauthenticated users to force the site to make repeated billable third-party API requests using the site's own configured API key, and to create an unbounded number of attacker-controlled rows in the database. CVE record
- CVE-2026-10526, 4 Aug 2026
- The EmbedPress WordPress plugin before 4.6.1 does not validate user-supplied URLs before making server-side requests through unauthenticated endpoints, allowing unauthenticated attackers to induce the site to send HTTP requests to internal hosts and services that WordPress core URL validation does not cover (a blind Server-Side Request Forgery). CVE record

What to do if you run EmbedPress
If you run EmbedPress, open WordPress and check the installed version in Plugins. Compare it with the affected versions in the vulnerability record. If a fixed version is available, take a current backup and update to that version or the latest supported release.
If no fixed version exists, consider disabling and removing the plugin or replacing it with a maintained alternative. After dealing with the affected software, check administrator users, unexpected file changes, redirects, unfamiliar pages and security logs for signs that the site may already have been altered.
